Touted as having the “Best Rum Punch in Anguilla”, we knew we had to make a stop at Elvis’ Beach Bar in Anguilla to check it out. We made our first stop at Elvis’ on a sail to Anguilla a few years back. We anchored in Road Bay and immediately noticed the activity around Elvis’.
Elvis’ sits on a stretch of beautiful sugar soft sand in Sandy Ground Village and offers up views like this of Road Bay.
We had only a very short time to visit that first time to Anguilla, so we sat at the boat bar, sampled a rum punch and then reluctantly headed back to our boat as we had an early morning departure planned. The music and partying ran into the wee morning hours at Elvis’, and we vowed to return someday to experience more.
Fast forward a couple of years and we scheduled a return to Anguilla and Elvis’ was on the list. Unfortunately, due to very poor planning on our part, Elvis’ Beach Bar was CLOSED the day we were there and although we were able to look around and take a few pictures, we were unable to meet Elvis OR test out the fantastical rum punch again…
Sigh.
We spent a few minutes relaxing on the chairs in front of Elvis’, and then moved on to one of the other great beach bars in Sandy Ground.
Elvis, we’ll be back! Can you have a few rum punches ready for us?
